[oman-l] Specialized lists?

Dear Ed and others in the Oman List,

Greetings / ataib as-salaamaat wa at-tahiyaat wa b3ad...

This one list is fine, as is, especially in light of how few people from or
interested in Oman, as well as regional issues involving the "lower Gulf,"
have been participating and/or posting in the list.

For starters, I would like to see more postings and discussions in this list
about 

Oman's society, 

Oman's history (esp since WW II), 

Omani culture, 

the role and integration of expatriates, 

the Omani dialect of Arabic, 

the non-Arab populations of Oman (Dhofaris, Mehris, Shahees, and the like),

Oman's economic and commercial development,

educational institutions and their activities in the country's development.

Hope this energizes some responses, especially by Omanis, whether they are
resident in the sultanate or studying/living/working abroad.
