May we please extend greetings from Oxford  . A very wet June  has just
ended and Wimbledon  has seen many matches cancelled .  We hope we are
not imposing on you with this uninvited  E-Mail the purpose of which is
to make you familiar with  the  book export department of Thornton's ,
Oxford's oldest bookshop, established in 1835.

Apart from our regular printed catalogues and  special bargain book
offers we regularly issues  book lists via e-mail.  These e-mail notices
are the best way to ensure that you are informed of the latest
publications in your field as well as the titles most recently acquired
by Thornton's  antiquarian and secondhand departments.

Our  Export department New Books and periodicals deals with the supply
of all English language publications on a world-wide basis.

Everything about it is new, and we update and add lists every week!
Fully revised, the site includes many new subject sections, 30 new or
updated lists, and an easy-to-use format with cross-referenced
catalogues. Some of the changes you'll find:

- The Russian Studies Section has been greatly extended and reorganised
to include updated publication information.

- Medieval Studies title lists now include many in-stock titles of
scholarly interest, which were previously uncatalogued.

- Many list items are now linked to a full-page detailed description of
the book, including cover photographs and/or samples of the
illustrations.

- The Tolkien and Tolkieniana Catalogues have been completely rewritten
to include the latest information on books in print and our most recent
stock acquisitions.

You can still register your orders on-line, ask us to search our large
secondhand stock for a particular title, or register a special book
search for that long-coveted out-of-print title.
