[oman-l] Specialized lists?

In reply to Wallace Sanders' question a word from
the "list owner" (a very inappropriate term - this list 
is owned by no-one but the subscribers themselves) :

This list is a general maillist for anything related to 
Oman. I do, however, share Walace's concern that many 
postings are relevant only to some of the subscribers, while 
the majority is perhaps not interested.  The solution would be to 
establish separate maillists for specific Oman-related 
subjects. It would be no problem to set up such lists, and 
I am sure that in the not-too-far future we will have specialized 
Oman maillists for the discussion of the archaeology or the 
geology of Oman, and there are plenty of other subjects, of 
course. 

As long as there are few postings to the list and as long as list 
members are not "flooded" with mails which are of no interest 
to them, this issue is probably not very acute. 
 
I'd be interested to know your opinions about this, and will be 
happy to receive suggestions for "specialized" Oman maillists !
After all, this list is YOUR list, an it is up to you to decide what 
to do with it !!!
