[oman-l] Sports in Oman

Dear Members,
Thanks for letting me join the list; I have been following it with interest over
the last few months.  I will be moving to Oman (Muscat area) at the end of 
August, and am very curious about what sports I will have access to, or will not
have any problems doing. I am specifically interested in mountain biking, 
bicyclying (on-road), hiking, camping, and rock climbing.  I should mention that
I am a female.  I have already heard that there is a rugby club and a running 
club.  I understand that it will probably be too hot most of the time to take 
part in these activities, but winter seems like it should be quite comfortable.
