Thanks for Joachim for informing us about the First German-Arab Business
Forum in Berlin which promised to be one of the largest German-Arab
business gathering. I just wanted to add that, further to the first day
conference, the next day will consist of the following workshops:
Telecommunications, Plant construction, Tourism, Project Finance and
construction. As Joachim has mentioned this will be attended by high-level
Arab participant including the Prime Minister of Lebanon (Rafiq El-Hariri)
and a high-level Omani delegation from Public and private sector. Among
the Omani delegation will be:
1-HE Mohsen Albalushi, Under Secretary for Tourism, Ministry of commerce
and Industry.
2. HE Abulalim Mustahil, President/Chairman of the Committee for
Omanisation/not too sure about the title!
3-Jamil Ali Sultan, Oman Chamber of Commerce and Director of Tawol Group
4- Salem Al- Ismaili- President of the Oman Centre for promotion for
investment (OCIPED),
5-Thamer Al Shanfari- of ORYX Projects and Alshanfari group.
6-Abdulla Baabood.
Others will be confirmed soon.

Should you be interested and need some help in attending this important
conference please either contact the organisers directly (see above) or
contact me with your details and affiliation and I, helping the
organisers, can organise invitations for businessmen from Oman. Due to its
popularity, places are limited and so are hotel bookings therefore you
will need to act quickly.
