You can just cross the road from the University and here you have a vast
mountainious area that you can explore for years. You will find many joggers
and walker here too. If you're venturing behind the mountain ridges you
might find gazelle.
A very pleasant area for everydays cycling. A tour can be 5-15 km or even
longer.

Another very interesting area for exploring is going towards the old village
Khod but crossing wadi Fanja and continuing past the garbage dump some kms,
here you'll find some pleasant wadis and if you explore the area you will
see the remains of many old settlements which will bring your fantasy back a
couple of thousand years.

Or you can go right through the village Khod and continue along the very
fantastic wadi all the way to Fanja. Don't forget to explore that wadi up
the small gorges on the side. Many are leading to pleasant water wholes with
cool fresh streaming water.

If you're really interested I could send you maps of it all.
