Difficult question. Coffee or tea? Hat or cap?
If I was an American moving to Oman I would buy the cheapest notebook I
could find. The guys repairing things in the souq are marvelous with
desktops, but I wouldn't give them my notebook. If you have trouble with
your notebook you would probably send it back to the states, and that's not
such a big deal.

Loss or theft is rare in Oman.
GAC is one good reliable company. I have lost their e-mail address, but I
will dig it up.
