Stacey International (London) has a few books on Oman's flora and fauna,
and so has Motivate Publishing (Dubai). For sources to buy books on
Oman, habe a look at

Ordering from Oman (see bookshops at the bottom of the webpage - I'm
afraid the al-Ouloum website was not working when I last tried) is a bit
expensive, but it works. 

There is no problem getting most of these books in London, but I don't
know about Canada.
