ABDULAZIZ AL_ROWAS TO SPEAK AT 9th ANNUAL MIDEAST POLICYMAKERS CONFERENCE
The National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations and U.S.-GCC Corporate
Cooperation Committee will hold the 9th Annual MidEast Policymakers
Conference (MPC) on September 9-11, 2000, at the Virginia Military
Institute in Lexington, Virginia. - The theme for the 9th MPC is
"Globalization and Regional Realities in the Middle East: Issues,
Interests, Implications." Among the distinguished speakers confirmed for
the conference are: Ambassador Edward S. Walker, Assistant Secretary of
State for the Near East; H.E. Abdulaziz Al-Rowas, Minister of Information,
Oman; and General Tommy Franks, Commander in Chief, U.S. Central Command.
