For Dr. Luffin:
I would recommend contacting Dr. Ibrahim Soghayroun, chairman of
the Department of History at Sultan Qaboos University. Dr. Soghayroun,
who hails from the Sudan, has written on the role of Oman in East
Africa and would be very interested in your work and certainly able to
advise you. I just spent the academic year in Oman as a visiting
research professor with his department and found him unfailingly kind.
He is away in Sudan at the moment, so don't be discouraged if it takes
awhile to get a reply. His address is:
Professor Ibrahim Soghayroun
Chair, Department of History
Sultan Qaboos University
P.O. Box 32482 Al-Khod
Muscat, Sultanate of Oman
Fax no. 00968 536809
