OPTIMISM RISES OVER GROWING OMAN-INDIA TIES
High-level political contacts have been maintained through two visits to
India by Foreign Minister Yusuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah in the recent past,
and the visit to Oman by his Indian counterpart, Jaswant Singh, to take part
in last year's extraordinary meeting of the Indian Ocean Rim Association for

ARAB-GERMAN ECONOMIC MEET
[ONA] Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry will participate in the 4th
Arab-German gathering [June 21] which will assess investment opportunities
in the Arab countries. .Issues which will be discussed during the two-day
meeting will include removal of obstacles to better Arab-German relations,
improving economic and trade ties, investment, financing, joint ventures in
the Middle East, cooperation in transport sector particularly on air
transport and railways, vocational and technical training and e-trade

OMANI ELDERLY DIEST AT AGE OF 130 YEARS
Omani elderly Ali al-Nu'mani died on Tuesday at 130 years old and is
survived by more than 300 persons including his children and grandchildren.
