I thought that Muscat English Speaking School only changed their name to =
British School Muscat. It's the same school, isn't it?

Dear Craig,
I have some ideas for you on connecting back with your past in Oman. I =
also some times feel as you do. I left Oman in 1998.=20
=20
The Muscat English Speaking School is no longer in Oman. There are two =
major English speaking schools in Oman They are American-British =
Academy, and The British School Muscat. To find people from your past I =
would suggest going to www.classmates.com, both the American-British =
Academy and The British School Muscat are registered on the site. You =
can register there for free to see if there is anyone you know. I =
believe that there is a fee to get a contact for some one who is =
registered. I hope this helps.

Hi everyone,
I've just found this site, it seams all very exciting to me. I moved =
to Oman=20
when I was 4 years old (1980ish) and went to Muscat English Speaking =
School.=20
My father was an Engineer at Cansult to begin with when with lived =
in=20
Mutrah, then later moved to the MOD engineering department, and so =
from then=20
on with lived on MAM camp. We left Oman when I was 11 (1988ish) and=20
eventually ending up in England. This was a big culture shock for me =
and now=20
that I am 25, I am only now realising how much I miss Oman and don't =
feel at=20
home in England, especially when the weather is bad. I still haven't =
gotten=20
used to the sea being so cold!
I've heard its changed some since I left, and I've had little to no =
contact=20
with anyone I knew when growing up. All I've had to remind me of my=20
childhood is to look at photos and go over and over old stories with =
my=20
parents and older brother. I know the best idea is to go out on a =
holiday to=20
look around and recognise things, somedays I'm desparate to just =
walk and=20
look for shells on one of beaches we used to go to.
What would be ideal though, would be to be able to get incontact =
with people=20
I grew up with, or went to school with. So if theres any of you out =
there=20
please get in contact!
thanks Craig
