Hi Abdallah,
It sounds like I have upset you? or...
I have some problems seeing the difference of white and brown. I'm supposed
to be "white", but I'm darn brown in summer, and when I lived in Arabia. My
wife is supposed to be brown, but she is white as snow unless I force her
out in the skiing slopes. 
The Saudi Ambassador in Washington is black? Good, so are two of Bush's
closest men, doesn't make USA free of pregudism, does it?
I'm sure you know more about the people of middle east than myself, I'm
simply describing my observations, they might be wrong.... but watching
Saudi as an outsider you got the feeling that the "blacks" are a little bit
less Saudi then "white" or as you put it "brown" Saudis. And that was Omar's
Q?

Tell you about a "color" related story from Saudi. Second hand, happened to
a friend of mine who worked as an volontary anesthetist in Mekkah during
Hajj. A patient arrived, hyperthermia and dehydration that processed so far
that he started leaking blood from everywhere, and when my friend suggested
they should transport him to a better geared hospital, he got the answer,
"it's only an Indonesian". 
Having worked in Saudi for ten years that answer somehow doesn't surprise
me.

Are we talking about a case of Alabama Blackman verses a Whiteman or
what??...the Saudi Ambasador to D.C. is as black as you can get, moreover,
using the word white to discribe none arabised Arabs of the Gulf..is like
calling the Nordic people blue!!
the real arabs of the Al-Jjazira and Yemen are first brown and there's a
great deal of intermarraige between these "white" Arabs and the "Blacks" as
you put it..it's totally based on your tribe affliation and today more than
anything else..MONEY..or Offficial Position..Also, the whole Ben Jellawi are
dark skinned  Tribe originally of Hubshi of Yemen. Today they are the second
in line Royals of Saudi Arabia..hence, that's how Prince Bander is
black....!!
As for the Citizenship in Saudia..yeah, i agree it's bit funny!, but again
that's there way and it's must be respected.
