Nothing wrong with beating your drum !

I read your excellent book but found limited description of the economic 
depths to which the country had descended (Mediaeval?)

I would like to take further advantage of your knowledge.I read in a non 
referenced source that Sultan Said did not spend any of the oil revenues 
which accrued during the later period of his rule.  Do you know if that is 
correct ? If so did he take the money to London follwing the coup (or before 
) and if not was  Sultan Quaboos able to get the cash?

Finally do you have any idea of what he did during his  stay at the 
Dorchester
