**LOGICA ENABLES OMANTEL TO BRING MESSAGING SERVICES
TO MIDDLE EAST
As part of the new text-messaging service, GSM subscribers in Oman can
now send and receive e-mails via mobile phone. The OmanTel SMS offering
is now available to more than 300,000 GSM subscribers in the Sultanate.

**E-BUSINESS BOOST FOR TRADERS IN OMAN
Gulf Tradanet (GTN) has launched its first live transaction of its
e-business service, BizNet, in Oman. BizNet, launched earlier in Bahrain,
is the region's first of its kind Business to Business (B2B) service and
through it Muscat Municipality is now networked with more than 100 of its
Omani trading partners.

**OMAN'S PETROGAS DISCOVERS NEW OIL RESERVES IN WEST
"The well results indicate a probable volume of oil of some 140 million
barrels, with substantial upside remaining to be tested," Petrogas, the
only local company to sign an oil and gas exploration pact with the government,
