[Oman-L] Women in Oman

As I'm sure many on this list will attest, women definitely have the right
to work in Oman, and very many of them do, right up to high administrative
positions. Although Omani women do cover their hair and wear anything
ranging from black hijabs and abayas to very colorful silk outfits with
matching head scarves, women do not need to wear head scarves in
Oman. Oman is a very cosmopolitan country, at least in the Muscat area,
and I have never seen women harassed in public as they often are in other
Middle Eastern countries. You can find all nationalities in Oman, and I'm
pretty sure there is a French school there.
