[Oman-L] Aspects of Omani Postal History

Dear Alastair Gunn, 
 
I got your name and the reference to your book from a philatelist from
Bahrain (Thomas Johansen) as I am currently researching images for a
forthcoming publication by Professor Alastair Hamilton (Arcadian Series)
to be published by Oxford University Press entitled "The Western
Discovery of Oman" and he is including images of the postage stamps and
the designs by Lewis Morland for the stamps. I have tried to order your
book "Aspects of Omani Postal History" as well as "Arabian Postal
History Quarterly" but unfortunately I would have to order it from the
United States and it seems that I cannot order both anyway (plus the
print on demand business) and time is not on my side, as I need to get
the new edition to the author asap. So I was wondering if I could be so
bold and ask you if it would be possible for you to send the Arcadian
Library a copy of each book and I would reimburse you for your kind
effort? Of course it depends on how long it would take to send these to
the UK etc. but I thought it worthwhile to at least ask you.

If you could let me know at your earliest convenience if you are not
able to furnish us with a copy, I would be most grateful, as I would
then continue to find a second-hand copy. 
 
I have copied my home email into this correspondence as I have no remote
access to the email of the Arcadian Library over the Bank Holiday
weekend.
